10 – Birthday of the King

June 29, 2008

While shepherds watch their flocks by night

All seated on the ground,

The angel of the Lord came down

and glory shone around

“Fear not, fear not” the angel said

“Fear not, I bring good news,

Glad tidings of great joy I sing.

Good news I bring to you!”

Chorus

Celebrate! Joy to the world!

Let earth receive her King!

Gloria from heav’n above.

Rejoice, rejoice and sing!

Glory be to God on High

And to the earth be peace.

Good will from heaven celebrate!

It’s the Birthday of the King!

In Bethlehem this very night

Is born of David’s line,

The Savior who is Christ the Lord.

And this will be the sign,

This will be the sign

The holy Child that you will find

Will be the Lord of all.

He’s gently wrapped in swaddling clothes,

Laid in a manger stall.

Chorus

Birthday of the King, birthday of the King!

Birthday of the King, birthday of the King!

11 – The Christmas Story

June 29, 2008

The Christmas Story

Narrator 1:  (begins on ms. 4)          Now this is how the birth of Jesus came about.  There was a census taken of the entire Roman world and everyone went to his own city to register.  So Joseph went up to Bethlehem, the City of David.  He went there with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

Narrator 2:   While they were there the time came for the Baby to be born and she gave birth to her firstborn, a Son.  She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger because there was no room for them at the inn.

Narrator 3:   And there were shepherds out in the fields nearby keeping watch over their flocks by night.

Narrator 4:   Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them and they were afraid.

Narrator 5:   “Fear not,” the angel said, “I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.  For unto you is born this day in the City of David, a Savior who is Christ the Lord.

Narrator 6:   And this will be a sign unto you.  You will find the baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”  Suddenly a great company of heavenly hosts appeared praising God and saying,…

Kanary Kids

and Toddlers:

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, goodwill to men.”

12 – O Come, All Ye Faithful

June 29, 2008

O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye, to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him, born the King of angels;

O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation;
O sing, all ye citizens of heaven above!
Glory to God, all glory in the highest;

O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning;
Jesus, to Thee be all glory given;
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing.

O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

O come let us adore Him,

Christ the Lord, the Lord.

13 – Miracle of God with Joy to the World!

June 29, 2008

It seemed impossible, it was a miracle

For a star to light the way

To a manger filled with hay.

It was a miracle, so unbelievable,

That a simple peasant girl

Brought God’s Son into the world.

An incredible, wonderful, beautiful miracle of God!

It seemed impossible, it was a miracle

For the Father up above

To reach down to us in love.

It was a miracle, so unbelievable

For an angel to appear and say

“Shepherds, do not fear.”

An incredible, wonderful, beautiful miracle of God!

Lift your voices to the sky.

Rejoice, rejoice with us and sing!

Lift your hands to God on High,

The mighty, mighty, mighty King of kings!

The mighty, mighty, mighty King of kings!

Yes, it is possible,

It’s a miracle that the long awaited One,

That Emanuel has come.

Yes, it is possible, so unbelievable

In a tiny manger stall

Would be born the Lord of all.

An incredible, wonderful, beautiful miracle of God!

It was an incredible, wonderful, beautiful miracle of God!

Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King.

Joy to the world! Let every heart prepare Him room,

And heaven and nature sing, let heaven and nature sing.

Let heaven, let heaven and nature sing.

An incredible, wonderful, beautiful miracle of God!

YEAH!
